City Singers – Singing Classes
Gain confidence and performance skills in weekly singing classes led by a professional singing coach where you will learn vocal techniques, performance skills, how to harmonise as a group and how to protect your voice whilst singing. Whether you love to sing in the shower, want to try out something new or are a seasoned professional, our singing classes are suitable for everyone!
The first half an hour of each singing class will be focused on improving vocal technique, using the Estill model. This important vocal technique breaks down the myths about singing and replaces them with the science behind how our voices actually work.
During the singing course you will sing a variety of music styles including pop, rock, Motown, soul and musical theatre. There are also opportunities to perform in public if you want to share and show off your newly found vocal skills. Don’t worry if you are nervous, part of the joy of singing in a group is the ability to grow your confidence without feeling that the spotlight is on you!
As part of this course you will get a half hour one to one singing technique lesson, worth £30, focussing on improving your vocal skills. (This will need to be arranged with the teacher and will normally only be able to take place 6.15pm on one of the Tuesdays you will already be attending. However, an alternative time / day may be able to be arranged but cannot be guaranteed. This offer is only for those signing up for City Singers and not Musical Theatre students who can access this course for free).
