“13” by Mike Bartlett
“13” by Mike Bartlett initially premier at the National Theatre in 2011, and now Stage & the City’s Acting Company have taken on the challenge to perform this profound epic play at the Courtyard Theatre.
“13” follows twelve different people across London who wake up from an identical, terrifying dream of monsters, explosions, and thousands of voices. At the same moment, a young man named John returns home after years abroad only to find London in an economic gloom, ridden with ineffective protest and a Prime Minister who is about to declare war. But John has a vision for the future, and how to make it happen.
“13” explores the meaning of personal responsibility, how the past has a hold over the future, and the nature of belief itself.
Come support the Acting Company in their debut production of “13” running at 19:30 on every evening – Sunday 29th, Monday 30th, and Tuesday 31st of March 2020.
