12 Week Course – Only 12 places!
Explore unloveable characters. Characters who have committed deeds that are unforgivable, unacceptable, morally questionable. This term, we seek to tackle characters who have skeletons in their closets. Shadows in the dark. Monsters which we will be creeping towards rather than away from.
In this innovative 12-week course you will explore your Shadow in the dim light; unearth extreme character reactions in problematic circumstances. Move into the shade, it’s about to get dark.
This term we will be building towards an invited showing in December. The theme of the showing will be the darker side of humanity, all the qualities we consider unloveable, unforgiveable, unacceptable. This will be referred to as our shadow. The scenes we will be performing will be challenging, sometimes humorous, often contentious contemporary works.
As always we will be focusing in on and building our acting process through the development of both devised and scripted scenes.
This Acting for Improvers Ensemble Company is for those who have moved on from one of our Acting for Beginners courses, or a similar course / experience elsewhere, and are looking for something more challenging.
Our ensemble company is ideal if you would like to improve your acting skills, confidence and presentation skills. In the forthcoming term, you will develop the skills needed to perform in a showcase on the last day of term for invited friends and family.
