Acting for Showcase Classes
It is not too late to join this course even if you missed the first class.
This New Year are you looking to fulfil a thrilling ambition? Do you need an interesting new project to work towards? Acting for Showcase could be the end goal to leave you feeling accomplished in 2019.
This course will suit any student who has done an Acting for Beginners course with Stage & the City or has equivalent experience from elsewhere. Students will need to commit to two terms as the showcase will take place in July 2019 and will need to have good attendance and punctuality.
Through the two terms you will work towards a public performance for friends and family. You will rehearse an assortment of monologues and scenes, breaking them down and looking at character development through physicality and emotion. You will learn all about stage craft and how to block scenes for performance.
Teacher: Attila Kent
Attila trained at the City Lit in London and went on to perform on the fringe in London and Edinburgh. He had parts on TV for the BBC and Chanel 4 as well as extra work for a number of films. Having returned to university to study counselling, his aim is to use the skills he learned as an actor on stage and in classes to help others develop the abilities needed to build their confidence. Attila is also one of the LAMDA tutors at the award-winning Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School.
