Focus, Poise, Strength! Learn these skills and reap superb health benefits with our Ballet & Contemporary dance courses this January.
Contemporary is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several different genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. It’s a form of dance that strives to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.
Our Contemporary Dance Classes will teach you a fusion of techniques to build on a commercial style. Keeping that emotional input of rhythm, storytelling and performance. You will also explore your own body’s flexibility, coordination, freedom and efficiency of movement to various rhythms and sounds. As our choreographer guides you through your dance technique, you will also get the chance to have your own creative input into choreography, as well as dance interaction with other class students. Our teacher will encourage you to stay in your comfort zone and enjoy every minute of this workout and emotional exploration.
Contemporary dance has a fantastic way of allowing you as a student to create shapes, space awareness, and overall enjoy a great form of dance and choreography.
During the course starting in May, you will explore a broad range of styles within the contemporary genre. You will be pushed to your own abilities each week to learn a new phrase of these different styles exploring your own bodies, their limits and their comforts.
