Since graduating Harveen has played lead roles in a number of productions including Pinky, Mrs Chopra, Auntie and Understudy Mum in 'Bend it like Beckham'(West End) Sylvia Morgan in ‘Privates On Parade’ (Theatre Royal, Brighton),Sudha in 'The Thing About Tom' directed by Stuart Wood, and Shilpa Shetty in 'Election Idol’, A Bride in ‘Ringside’(Birmingham Repertory Theatre) and Wendy in ‘Poise The Musical’. She recently finished on a musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s “The Witches” directed by Nikolai Foster at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. Meena in “Cynthia’s Girls” produced by Paul Nicholas at the Cambridge Corn Exchange. Tiger Lily and Tootles in ‘Peter Pan’ at The Park Theatre and Salma in ‘The Cereal Cafe’ at The Other Palace Theatre.

Workshops include ‘Billionaire Boy’ by David Williams, directed by Luke Sheppard and the new writing season at the Curve Theatre, Birmingham Rep and Theatre Royal Stratford East.

UK Tours include ‘Britains Got Bhangra’ and ‘Arrange That Marriage’. Pantomime credits include: The Teapot in ‘Beauty and The Beast’ and The Genie in ‘Aladdin’ at The Cheltenham Everyman.

Film and TV credits include work on Doctors (Ambur Chahan) Brit Asia(presenter), The Discovery Channel (driver), Dispaches (featured artist) and BBC’s Lee Nelsons Well Good Show (mother to be) ITV Central News (Tourist). She has also been a backing vocalist for ITV's X factor and Britain's Got Talent.

Stage & the City has recently formed a Musical Theatre Company for performers who wish to explore musical theatre through a variety of genres from cabaret through to contemporary pop musicals.  Anyone interested in joining will be required to participate in a workshop audition.

You will learn storytelling, vocal technique and movement skills all at the same time!

The company are currently rehearsing for a production of Paradise – a rock’n’roll fable. They will perform the show at the Tower Theatre on the evening of Friday 22nd November. As well as two performances on Saturday 23rd November 2019. The musical about love, passion and rivalry. If you love Grease you’ll love this!

Course Requirements

To join our Musical Theatre Company you need to have completed our Musical Theatre Beginners / Improvers course or completed a similar course elsewhere.  However, even if you do have previous musical theatre experience you will still be required to attend a workshop audition. If you do not have the experience required, we recommend having a look at our Musical Theatre for Beginners or Musical Theatre for Intermediates classes.
