Jen started dancing, performing, teaching and choreographing from a very early age in styles such as jazz, street, tap and musical theatre. As an adult, Jen then went on to consolidate her training in contemporary, ballet and contemporary jazz at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She has trained and worked with artists such as Rachel Lopez de Nieta, Rosemary Brandt, Hagit Yakira, Rosangela Silvestre and Tim Casson. Credits include T Mobile, BBC 2, Sadlers Wells, Richmix Festival, The Natural History Museum, plus many other dance festivals, theatre performances and private events across London.

What is Musical Theatre Dance?  

Musical Theatre Dance is a particular style of dance that incorporates drama and movement without the vocal aspect.  As a student you will learn how to breakdown the songs verse by verse and re enact it feeling and telling the story through basic choreography and drama.

This course will teach you the following

General knowledge of Musical Theatre and story breakdown

Basic knowledge of choreography, movement & improvisation

Basic level of drama through music

Increase in confidence levels

Performance skills

Learn solo and group interaction skills

Our industry professional teacher will direct, choreograph and guide you through the creative process in a fun class environment, and help you achieve the best musical production numbers you have always dreamed of doing, as well as getting the very best out of your course.

Everybody has a favourite musical.  From Grease to West Side Story, from Legally Blonde to Hairspray, from Wicked to Waitress, from Dear Evan Hansen to The Greatest Showman – all of them are classics and memorable for their songs and choreography.  Now you can learn some of these classics in our Musical Theatre Dance course.

You will have the opportunity to perform in our 5 year anniversary showcase later this year.

The course is a beginners course and also for students who have basic dance ability, but not essential.
