Gain confidence and performance skills in weekly singing classes led by a professional singing coach. Learn vocal techniques, performance skills, how to harmonise as a group and how to protect your voice whilst singing. Whether you love to sing in the shower, want to try out something new or are a seasoned professional, our singing classes are suitable for everyone!
The beginning of each singing class will be focused on improving vocal technique, using a variety of models including the Estill model. This important vocal technique breaks down the myths about singing and replaces them with the science behind how our voices actually work. During the singing classes, you will sing a variety of music styles including pop, rock, Motown, soul and musical theatre.
In addition, at the end of this term, you will have the opportunity to perform a select number of your favourite songs from the course for family and friends at an informal showing. We will also record this performance for your own enjoyment!
As part of this course, you will have a one-off 30 minute one to one session with the singing teacher. Alternatively sign up to Introduction to Musical Theatre, which takes place on the same evening, and access City Singers for free. You will also have the opportunity to sing at the Courtyard Theatre on Monday 15th July, although this is not compulsory.
