We’re back! Stage and the City’s Charity number is once again upon us and ready to raise money for our incredible worthy cause, the Fiorentini Foundation, (charity number 1140414).
This year, like last year, we will be raising money for kids with or affected by cancer that wish to attend the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School for respite and some much-needed fun.
Each year our charity number has been a showstopper in the Stage and the city showcases, and this year will be no different. Our Charity fundraising numbers to date have successfully helped many children pursue their dreams in the Performing Arts.
We’ve had the sexiness of ‘Boy-lesque’ meets ‘Burlesque,’ ‘Dance through the Eras’ and most recently the show-stopping ‘Grease’. So what now? Well…‘LET’S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN!’ Yes, it’s Rocky Horror time.
A small medley from the movie exploring the cult classic movements. You’ll be guided through the Transylvanian thrusts, slides and clicks with Jazz hands in all their glory. Of course, no Rocky Horror would be complete without the Rocky Horror costumes, to which we hope you won’t hold back. The number will scream outrageousness, campness, fun and above all the chance to let your hair down and get lost in the magenta-tinged madness of Sweet Transvestite and Time Warp. ‘Lets bring Halloween to Spring.’ You don’t need any experience for this number, just a great sense of humour and no inhibitions.
Important details for now:
- You need to be available for a rehearsal on Thursday 21st and 28th March – 7pm – 9pm, (venue to be confirmed but will be as central as possible).
- You must raise a minimum of £100 through sponsorship and agree to pay the balance of the £100 should you not manage to pay it via sponsorship.
- You must be free all day of the show on Saturday 30th March.
We look forward to seeing you all, both regular and newbie participants.
